I consider Radon Gas testing an integral part of buying a home. If you are unfamiliar with Radon Gas and the effects that it can have on you and your family, I encourage you to have look at the three pages available below. Radon Gas testing is not a requirement but it should be a necessity.
These PDF files were provided by the Kentucky Association of Radon Professionals. Some of the text in these PDF’s is outdated. Just recently the state of Kentucky has enacted legislation that will require radon testing and mitigation companies to obtain a license to operate. Requirements will be to attend continuing education yearly. Companies doing testing will not be allowed to do the mitigation and companies doing mitigation will not be allowed to do the clearance testing.
